Maintenance, servicing and repairs
Please service your vehicle regularly at the intervals specified in the owner's manual which should be kept in the vehicle glove box.
During the period where the vehicle is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, service and repairs should only be carried out by a franchised dealer. After the warranty has expired, service and repairs can be carried out by either a franchised dealer or an approved LeasePlan service agent. Information on your nearest approved agent is available by calling LeasePlan toll-free on 0800 LEASEPLAN (0800 532 737).
The driver or custodian of the vehicle is responsible for arranging maintenance and repairs as required.
It is essential that you identify the vehicle as a LeasePlan managed vehicle whenever booking the vehicle in for any repair or maintenance (if this service applies to your vehicle).
Please ensure that the Repairer contacts LeasePlan by phoning 0800 LEASEPLAN (0800 532 737) prior to commencing any work on your vehicle.
Should you require a replacement vehicle whilst your vehicle is being repaired, please call LeasePlan toll-free on 0800 LEASEPLAN (0800 532 737). LeasePlan will then advise whether this is covered under your service agreement.
Procedure for booking your vehicle in for servicing:
- Contact your nearest vehicle service dealer or franchised agent.
- Arrange a suitable time with the service department and advise them of the work required including, if applicable, Warrant of Fitness.

- Advise the service agent that they must call LeasePlan for authority prior to the commencement of any work.
- If you require a loan vehicle please request this at the time of booking your vehicle. Please remember the supply of loan vehicles is limited so call with as much advance notice as possible. If the service agent is unable to provide a loan vehicle please call LeasePlan who will then advise if this service is provided to your company.
- On the scheduled day ensure that the vehicle handbook is in the vehicle and remind the service agent that they must call LeasePlan.
- The service agent will then carry out the work following authorisation from LeasePlan.
