Good news from Japan

There’s good news out of Japan this month, with production of New Zealand vehicles getting back into full swing at the beginning of July.
Most manufacturers having been able to resolve their supply chain issues more quickly than anticipated, with only a handful remaining affected, and we should start to see new stock landing in New Zealand from September.

As you can imagine, however, demand currently far outstrips supply, resulting in a reduction of discount levels being offered by manufacturers.
As stock levels in New Zealand remain limited, we encourage you to order your vehicles as far in advance as possible. There are a few models currently on run out. This is really the only area where we expect to see shortages, as well as possible delays in the release of new and/or face lifted vehicle until sufficient stocks can be produced.

Utility vehicles coming out in the next few months include Ford’s all-new T6 Ranger and the latest evolution of the Toyota Hi Lux. Both are currently in short supply, and we expect most of the new imports will be snapped up by infrastructure companies as contracts are awarded for the new high-speed fibre optic network. Once again, we encourage you to order early.
